“joint family”
Defined in 2 Acts. A definition holds for the Act that gives it; the same word can mean something else in another Act.
The Delhi Apartment Ownership Act, 1986 · s. 3
(p) "joint family" means a Hindu undivided family, and in the case of other persons, a group or unit, the members of which are by custom, joint in possession or residence;

(27) "joint family" means a family of which the members live together, have a common mess and are descendants from a common ancestor and shall include wives or husbands, as the case may be, of its members, but shall exclude married daughters and their children;
