The committee at a meeting may direct that, within certain limits, to be fixed by it, the external roofs and walls of huts or other buildings shall not be made or renewed of bamboos, grass, mats, leaves or other highly inflammable materials unless with the permission of the committee in writing; and the committee may, by written notice, require any person who has disobeyed any such direction to remove or alter the roofs or walls so made or renewed as it may think fit.
