Section 1. (1) This -4ct may be calledji the Inland Emigration Act, 1893 ; and

(2) I n the same section of the said Act, in the definition of the word "emigrate," the words cc not being a labour-district " are hereby repealed ; and for the words " Chief Commissioner of Ondh " the following shall be substituted, namely :- " Chief Commissioners of Oudh and the Central Provinces, or from any portion of the territories administered by the Governor of Fort St. George in Council in which this Act may, for the time being, be in for.ce." (3) In the same section of the said Act, in the definition of the word "dependent," for the word " means " the word includes " shall be substituted. 1.
