Section I. (1) This Act may be called the Gold (Import) Short

(2) Where any gold is taken possession of in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I), the Governor General in Co~~ncil shall pay to the owner thereof, on production of such documents as the authority making the order under sub-section (I) may require, a sum in respect of such gold calculated at such rate as the Governor General in Council may prescribe.
