1. Subs. by the Adaptation of Laws (No. 4) Order, 1957, for the Second Schedule (w.e.f.1-11-1956). 1. Short title.— (1) This Act may be called the Indian Red Cross Society Act, 1920. 2* * * * * 1. The Act has been extended with modifications to Goa, Daman and Diu by Reg. 12 of 1962, s. 3 and Sch. (w.e.f. 28-1-1963) The Act has been extended in its application to the whole of the Union of the Union territory of Lakshadweep (w.e.f. 1-101967) vide Reg. 8 of 1965, s. 3 and the Schedule and to the Union territory of Pondicherry by Act 26 of 1968, s. 3 and Schedule. 2.
