If a person subject to this Act deserts his post Neglect of or sleeps upon his watch, or negligently performs the duty imposed on him, be shall suffer imprisonment or such other punishment `as` is hereinafter mentioned. 12, Where a mutiny is accompanied by violence, Mutiny aea person subject to this Act who joins therein shall ~ m $ ~ ' ~ ~ syffer death or such otber punishment as is herein. after mentioned ; and a person snbje~t to this Act who does not use &.is utmost exertions to suppress the mutiny shall,- (4 :if he hasL acted traitorously, suffer death or such o t h e ~ pppishment as is hereinafter mentioned ; - (6) if he has acted fiwm cowar4iee, suffe~ penal servitude or such other punishment as is hereinaf tev mentioned ; (c) if he has acted from negligence, be dismissed with disgrace from the Indian Marine Scrvice or suffer such other punishment as is here.inafter mentioned.
