26. Every person who refines or melts silver, including its alloys, shall— (a) maintain a record of gold, if any, recovered from such refining or melting; (b) declare on or before the fifth day of each month, in such form as may be prescribed, the quantity of gold so recovered during the month immediately preceding; (c) sell such gold within a period of thirty days from the date of such declaration or within such further period as, on sufficient cause being shown, may be allowed by the Administrator, to a licensed refiner or, if so authorised by the Administrator, to a licensed dealer.
