The Master of every Ship or Vessel conveying Emigrants to Jamaica, British Guiana or Trinidad shall be bound to provide for and furnish to every such Emigrant and his wife and children, a sufficient quantity of good and wholesome Provisions for his, her and their daily maintenance during such voyage and during the space of 48 hours next after the arrival of such Ship or Vessel at the place of destination.
