18. Responsibilities of State Government in implementing Scheme.— The State Government shall make available to the District Programme Coordinator and the Programme Officers necessary staff and technical support as may be necessary for the effective implementation of the Scheme. 18. A separate Schedule of rates shall be finalised for women, the elderly, people with disabilities and people with debilitating ailments so to improve their participation through productive work. 18. As far as possible, the employment shall be provided within a radius of five kilometers of the village where the applicant resides at the time of applying.
