The Bill provides for the constitution of a statutory Board called the Tea Board, to which will be entrusted, besides the functions now assigned to the Indian Tea Licensing Committee and the Central Tea Board under the existing Acts additional functions such as the regulation and control of tea sold by auction or otherwise, the registration and licensing of brokers and blenders and quality control.
