All appointments made under sections 5 and 22 of Act XVII of 1877, directions given under section 23, rules and forms made and prescribed under sections 19, 26 and 27, and notifications published, powers conferred and orders issued under section 49, of the same Act, shall, so far as may be, be deemed to have been respectively made, given, prescribed, published, conferred and issued under this Act.
