Section 22. In section 25 of the principal Act,

In section 25 of the principal Act,— (a) for the word "Board", wherever it occurs, the words "Wakf Commissioner" shall be substituted; (b) in sub-section (6), for the words "it may consider", the words "he may consider" shall be substituted; (c) in sub-section (7), for the words "as it thinks fit", the words "as he thinks fit" shall be substituted; (d) after sub-section (8), the following sub-sections shall be inserted, namely:— "(9) Every wakf registered under this section before the commencement of the Wakf (Amendment) Act, 1984 shall be deemed to have been registered on such commencement, at the office of the Wakf Commissioner. (10) Every application for registration under this section pending immediately before the commencement of the Wakf (Amendment) Act, 1984 before the Board shall, on such commencement, stand transferred to the Wakf Commissioner and the Wakf Commissioner shall deal with such application as if it were an application pending before him.".
