54. (1) No child shall be allowed to work in a factory for more a than Sve hours in any day.

(2) The hours of work of a child shall be so arranged that they shall not spread over more than seven-and-a-half hours in `any` day.
(3) No shild shall be allowed to work in a factory except between 6 A.M. and 7 P.M. :
Provided'that t,he Local Government may, by notification in tlie local official Gazette, in respect of any cInss or classes of factories and for the whole year or any part of it, vary these limit,s to any span of thirteen hours between 5 A.M. and 7-80 `P.M.`
(4) The provisions of section 35 shall apply also to child worlrers, but no exemption from the provisions of that sectioc may be granted in respect of any child.

(5) No cllild shall be allowed to work in any factory on any day on which he has already been working in another fact9ry-
