A majority in nunzber of the persons present at Extension `OE` a meeting of the Municipal ' Commissioners specially Act to m"llicipalities. convened in this bclialf may apply to the Local Governineizt to extend this Act to tlze whole or any part of a municipality, and thereupon the Local Governnzeiit may, if it thililis fit, by iiotificatioii published in tlle official Gazette, declare its intention to extend this Act in the nzanner proposed. Any inhabitant of such municipality or part thereof wlzo objects to such extension may, rnrithin six weeks froin tlie clate of such pnblication, seilcl his objcciioil in writing to the Secietary to the Local Government, and the Local Government sizall take sucli objection illto consideration. T4rhe~l six ~reclrs , from the said publication have exyi~ed, the Local Governmelzt, if no sllcli objections have been sent as a.foresaid, or (wlicn sucli objections have bcc11 so sciat) if `ti` . if in its opi~zion they are insufficient, may by like notification effect tlie proposed extension.
