Section 83. Power to exempt from operation of Act

83. Power to exempt from operation of Act.— The Centra] Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt either absolutely or subject to any specified conditions any local troa or any mine or group or class of mines or any part of a mine or any class nf parsons from the operation of all or any of the provisions of this- Act: Provided that no local area or mine or group or class of mines shall be exempted from the provisions of section 45 unless it is also exempted from the operation of all the other provisions of this Act.
