Section 40

40. All certificates and orders of the Collector under this Act shall be open to revision on appeal or otherwise by the chief controlling Revenue Authority to which the Collector is subordinate: Provided that no order passed on such revision shall invalidate any registration or other proceeding previously made or taken of or upon an instrument endorsed by the Collector under section twenty-four or section twenty-five.
