A11 Act to provide Rules relating to Quarantine.
WHEREAS it is expedient to empower exprqisly Preamble, the Governor Genera.1 of India. in Council and the Loca.1 Goverilments to make rules relating to quarantine ; It is hereby ena.cted as follows :-
1. It shall be lawf~ll for the Governor 'General of Power to Inclia ill Council aud (with the previous sanction of make qunthe said Governor General in Council) for the Local[rantine rules. ] Governments respectively, from time to time, to make rules
for putting any vessel into a state of quarantine ; for regulating the intercourse of vessels in a state of quarantine with the shore, or with other vesscls; and
for regulating the intercourse between ports where an infectious disease prevails and other ports.
2. All such rules shall be published in the Gazette Quarantme rules to be of `India` and also in the iocal Gazette, and shall thereupon be deemed to be rules made and promul- undersection gated under section 271 of the Indian Penal Code. t21~
