The Bill also provides for payment to persons called up for rendering national service of remuneration at a scale which is not less favourable than the remuneration admissible to similarly placed Government employees. The Bill also provides that where a person in employment, is called up for rendering national service, his former employer shall be under an obligation to reinstate him in his former employment on terms and conditions which are not less favourable to him than those to which he was entitled before he was called up for national service.
