An Act to repeal Act XXVII of 1854. WREREAS Act XXVII of 1854 (to amemd the Znw 2-elating lo the N&im of Bengal) .provides for the service and execution of processes within tlie precincts of the palace of the NBzim at MurshidAb8d, through the Superintendent of the affairs of the NizAmat, or other officer discharging like functions ; And whereas by an indenture dated the first day of November, 1880, and made between His Highness Sayjad Mans6r Ali, Naw&b PIT&zim of Bengd, of tlie first part, the Secretary of State for India in Council of tlie second part, and certain other persons of the third part, the NawAb NBzim of Bengal has, for certain valuable considerations in the indenture mentioned, relinquished and retired from the Nizhmat and Sfibahdkri of Bengal, Bih6r and Orissa, and his position as N&eim and S6bahdAr of Bengal, BihZLr and Orissa, and his right as Naw&b NBzim for the time being to the authority, dignities, stipend, pay, allowances, properties, privileges and rights thereof, or in any wise thereunto annexed or appertaining or therewith enjoyed, and all right and title to interfere or intermeddle hereafter in any way, directly or indirectly, with any thing con"crning the said NizZLmat and Shbahdhi ; And whereas, in consequence of the ai~angements made by the said indenture, the office of Superintendent of the affairs of the NizAmat has been abolished, and there will in future be no officer discharging the like functions, and it is therefore expedient to Act XXVII of 1864; It is hereby enacted as f ollo1v s :- I. Act XXVII of 1854 is repealed.
