Section 1. Short title and extent

1. Short title and extent. (1) This Act may be called the Supreme Court (Enlargement of Criminal Appellate Jurisdiction) Act, 1970. (2) It extends to the whole of India [1] *. [Footnotes] 1. The words "except the State of Jammu and Kashmir" omitted by Act 37 of 1972, s. 2 (w.e.f. 20-8-1972).
