It is hereby enacted, that so much of the provisions of any Regulation of the Bengal Code, or of any Act of the Government of India, as vests the Judges of Circuit, the Commissioners of Circuit, the Superintendents of Police and the Sudder Nizamut Adawlut, with controul and superintendence over the several Jails of the Fort William in Bengal, the Prisoners confined in them, the Establishments there unto belonging, and the places of banishment or transportation of Prisoners, is repealed.
