Section 58. Apportionment of assets and liabilities

PART V ASSETS AND LIABILITIES 58. Apportionment of assets and liabilities.— The assets and liabilities of the State of Assam immediately before the appointed day shall be apportioned between that State and Meghalaya in accordance with the provisions contained in the Third Schedule. 58. Any other matter not enumerated in this Part and in respect of which a District Council has power to make laws under paragraph 3 of the Sixth Schedule in the Constitution, to the extent to which it is not included in entry 16 of this Part and entry 2 of Part C.
